Our Mice


Here at VallyView Rodents, We're breeding a variety of fancy mice for Show, Pet and To improve our lines at Exhibition Standards. He have breed Thousands of mice over the last several years, Striving and continueing to meet personal goals that not only improve the TYPE of the mice.. The health and over all personality of the mice we enjoy so much.

Below are pictures and descriptions of some of the varieties we breed.  All pictures are pictures of mice we own or have owned.

Our Coat Types

Standard

The standard coat should be smooth and glossy, and feel fine to the hand. It should show a natural high shine and densly cover the body, including the belly, groin, area around the front legs, and behind the ears.-AFRMA

Angora

The Angora coat should be as long as possible, but combined with density, and is to be fine and silky in texture.-AFRMA

Rex

Coat should be tightly woven over the entire body including curly whiskers. Curl should stay well though adulthood. Younger mice usually have better curl.-TheFunMouse

Satin

The ideal satin coat has a unique and distinct appearance with its lustrous sheen. The hair should be very fine, dense, soft, and silky to the touch.-AFRMA

Satin Angora

The coat should be as long as possible, but combined with density, and is to have the distinctive sheen of the satin.-AFRMA

Textel

Coat should be long with nice tight curl over the entire body including curly whiskers. Guard hairs should be thickly dispersed over entire coat and curled. Curly hair should stay well through adulthood. Younger mice usually have better curl.-TheFunMouse

TAN/FOX

Both have the top color in any recognized color, with a contrasting underside: a rich golden-red tan in the TAN, a near white in the FOX. There is a clear and distinct line between the top and bottom color, running in a straight line along sides, chest and jaws. -AFRMA

I currently have tans and broken marked tans in black, dove, silver and chocolate in satin and angora coats.

Broken Marked

Broken Marked Mice have as many colored spots or patches as possible, irregularly placed on a white background. -AFRMA
We Currently have broken marked mice in black, chocolate, ____, _____,____, in standard, satin, angora, rex and textel coat types.

Burmese/Siamese

The Siamese Sable(Burmese) is to be a very light brown similar to the coffee, over the entire body. The points, which are a very dark brown, almost black, are as for the Siamese. Eye color is black. -AFRMA
The Seal Point Siamese mouse is to be a warm beige, as even as possible over the entire body, shading to a deeper color on the hindquarters. The colors should blend gradually and there should be no white hairs or mealiness to the color. The points should be a rich chocolate color and should be well defined on the muzzle, being confined to the whisker area only. The ears, feet, tail, and tail-root are dark also, but are of a slightly lighter shade. Eye color maybe ruby or black.-AFRMA

We currently have Burmese in standard, satin and angora coat types.

Chinchilla

Color is to resemble that of the Chinchilla rabbit, with a pearl-gray background, evenly tipped with black, and a slate blue base to the hairs. The belly and the inside of the legs is to be white, the outside of the legs to match the top color. Eye color is black.-AFRMA

We currently have chinchilla mice in regular and chocolate in standard and satin coat types.

Recessive Yellow(RY)

These mice can come in any number of yellow shades ranging from flame red, light blond, and even dark sable-looking. Recessive Yellow mice can have any color eyes. Pink eyed recessive yellow mice tend to be more flame red while dark eyed recessive yellow mice tend to be more blond or "sable" in appearance.-The Fun Mouse

We currently have recessive yellow mice in standard, satin, angora and rex coat types.
